Time Warner Cable Offers a Multi-platform Solution to Traffic Congestion in Southern California

Southern California is known for its beaches, sun and celebrities. Unfortunately, it is also known for its traffic. Day in and day out, commuters in Southern California literally sit in traffic for hours, hoping to find open lanes and shortcuts.

So, in an effort to help commuters navigate their way through the traffic congestion, and after numerous requests by local customers asking the company to develop a service dedicated to providing traffic updates, Time Warner Cable is now offering Beat the Traffic, a commuter’s guide to navigating Southern California’s traffic congestion.

Beat the Traffic provides real-time, data-driven traffic reports throughout Southern California via television, Internet and mobile phone. The service is available exclusively to Time Warner Cable subscribers on SoCal Channel 101,

During rush hour commutes, Beat the Traffic features 3-D maps of local freeways and roads, displaying real-time traffic data conditions pulled directly from the California Department of Transportation and other monitoring networks. Throughout the broadcast, different county maps rotate, with a live anchor breaking in every 10 minutes, providing up-to-the-minute reports on traffic.

The Beat the Traffic program is only available to Time Warner Cable subscribers on SoCal Channel 101. Plus, customers can also access the service at www.beatthetraffic.com and mobile devices at www.twcbtt.mobi.
