Time Warner Cable is Showing the Masters in 3D

The Masters Golf Tournament is happening right now in Augusta, Georgia, and there’s some real excitement surrounding it.  While golf highlights themselves are always a popular topic, the buzz this year is that some of the Masters Tournament will be broadcast in 3D and that Time Warner Cable will be carrying it!

Now, this is *so* not the 3D that you remember from back in the day with the cardboard glasses with the red filter on one eye and the blue one on the other.  This is pretty cool technology that’s been improved on which many of you are probably enjoying at your local movie theater today. old 3d glasses, new 3d glasses

If you’re one of those technophiles who grabs the latest and greatest tech toys because of how cool and amazing they may be…  (I know I am.) Then you may be in luck.  Check with your local Time Warner Cable office to see if you can be set up to watch the daily tournament highlights in 3D On Demand right from your living room.  You’ll be able to see that day’s highlights on the following day, anytime you want. Keep in mind that you’ll need to have:

  • A 3DTV currently at home
  • A 3D enabled cable receiver

to enjoy the Masters Tournament in 3D with Time Warner Cable.

We are also going to be having viewing parties in New York, San Diego and a limited viewing party in Charlotte where you can watch the 3D Golf Tournament live.

This is the viewing room in the Time Warner Center, NYC:

There’s not a whole lot of seating, so if you want to get out there, know that it’s on a first come first seated basis.  Hope to see you this weekend!
