San Antonio NASCAR Fans: We’re Hosting a Free 3D Viewing Party of the Coke 400

We know there are some serious sports fans out there and particularly some serious NASCAR fans. To satiate these fans’ need for speed Time Warner Cable in San Antonio will be hosting a 3D viewing party of the Coke Zero 400 on Sat. July 3 at 5:30 p.m. (CST) at Bjorn’s in San Antonio. Bjorn’s is at 14123 Hwy 281 N – map here.

Fans and their families are welcome to come out to this free event to witness action from the cameras around the track at the Daytona International Speedway and experience the mayhem of pit row live in 3D. From what I hear, the 3D coverage will make you feel like you’re close enough to smell the exhaust fumes.

And while I know this sport may not be appealing to everyone, this is an excellent chance to see what the hype about TV in 3D is all about.

The pre-race time is at 5:30 p.m. (CST) Race time begins at 6:30 p.m.

We’ll provide 3D glasses and refreshments and we do suggest getting there early to get a good seat.

If you can’t make it out to the event, customers with the proper equipment will be able to watch it from the comfort of their homes. Click here for channels and technology requirements.

This isn’t our first dabble in providing our customers with 3D sporting events. A few months ago we offered customers the chance to watch the Masters in 3D. We’ll continue to gauge the demand for this type of programming and we hope to bring you even more sporting events in 3D in the future. Have a safe and happy 4th of July.
