15 Minutes of Fame at the Time Warner Cable Sports Booth

Sports fanatics probably all dream of the opportunity to call the big play in the big game. This past weekend in Raleigh, North Carolina, the NHL’s hottest players were in town for the NHL All-Star game and hockey fans got the opportunity to get up close and personal with their favorite players at the Time Warner Cable Sports Booth at NHL All-Star Fan Fair.  The NHL’s biggest players visited the TWC Sports Booth including Team Staal captain, Eric Staal.

Eric Staal talks to News 14 Carolina's Jim Connors

Our own News 14 Carolina sportscasters interviewed Staal and other hockey greats including Corey Perry from the Anaheim Ducks and Carolina Hurricanes All-Star rookie Jeff Skinner.

Then hockey fans became the sportscaster.  They had the opportunity to Step Thru the Screen™ and enjoy their 15 minutes of fame.  The old and young sat behind the sports desk, looked into the camera and took the spotlight. Take a look at little guys Hank and Cal – they were too funny:

And, Trevor was even brave enough to go at it alone:

The videos were posted on You Tube and there are a ton of them.  It was a really cool way to connect with our customers and to let them know they call the shots!
