Watch, decide, vote. From now through May 1, TWC Midwest digital cable customers can cast their Viewer’s Choice vote for “CAMMpetition.”
“CAMMpetition” highlights short video presentations created by FIRST Lego League (FLL) teams from the Midwest. These presentations, submitted by TWC-sponsored FLL teams from Ohio, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Wisconsin and Nebraska, showcase each team’s approach to the 2010 FLL project challenge, Body Forward.
In the 2010 Body Forward™ Challenge, FLL teams explored the cutting-edge world of Biomedical Engineering to discover innovative ways to repair injuries, overcome genetic predispositions, and maximize the body’s potential, with the intended purpose of leading happier and healthier lives. Each FLL Challenge included two parts, the Robot Game and a Project. In the Robot Game teams build and program a robot. In the actual Project, teams explore a real-life problem that today’s scientists and engineers are trying to solve and develop a solution.
The ten FLL teams competing in Time Warner Cable’s “CAMMpetition” are:
To watch the teams compete and pick a favorite, tune to Local On Demand (Channel 411) in the Midwest and select the Viewer’s Choice category. Every time a team’s video is viewed, it counts as a vote for that team. Each winner on the top team will receive a $1,000 scholarship savings bond. After the competition, on May 1, the videos will be posted to the Time Warner Cable You Tube channel and the Connect a Million Minds website.
The “Midwest CAMMpetition” is a local program supporting Time Warner Cable’s Connect a Million Minds (CAMM) campaign and national partnership with FIRST Robotics.
