New York State Regents Prep Program Comes to Local On Demand

If you’re a Time Warner Cable customer with high school age children in New York, this might be for you. Right now, families can tune in to Local On Demand for Regents Review 2.0, a series of test prep programs for students who plan to take the New York State Regents exam this June.

For each of the thirteen curriculum areas tested through Regents exams, Regents Review 2.0 will feature one-hour, in-depth review programs hosted by expert teachers. While the programs are initially airing on local PBS stations throughout New York state, exam preps can now be accessed through the convenience of On Demand technology from Staten Island to Saranac Lake.

Local On Demand can be found on channel 1111 in Manhattan, Brooklyn/Queens, Staten Island, Mount Vernon, Hudson Valley, and Hudson and Bergen counties in New Jersey. Points north, the channel lineup varies:  1007 in Albany, 997 in Buffalo, 111 in Rochester and 1000 in Central New York. This content will be available through January 2012.

If you find that the idea of learning in front of a TV doesn’t inspire your son or daughter, Regents Review 2.0 also provides all thirteen of its programs as video podcasts for playback in iTunes and on all video-enabled iDevices. Because, really, what teenager wouldn’t rather learn about integrated algebra than listen to Kanye West?
