Recently, severe thunderstorms and tornadoes tore across the central and eastern United States. One storm hit the heart of our northeastern Wisconsin service area, causing millions of dollars in damage, destroying residences and businesses and razing power lines.

To kick off Midwest disaster relief efforts, Time Warner Cable employees presented a $5,000 donation to the American Red Cross of Northeastern Wisconsin
To raise aid for area residents affected by the storm, TWC Wisconsin launched a text message public service announcement (PSA) campaign to fund raise for the American Red Cross in Northeastern Wisconsin. The PSA, which airs until June 1, urges viewers to text REDCROSS to 90999 to donate ten dollars towards local relief efforts. The PSA is airing in up to forty channels throughout our northeastern Wisconsin service area.
“Corporate partners like Time Warner Cable make it possible for the American Red Cross to reach out with the capability and compassion that embraces those affected by disaster in their hour of need,” said Hansen. “We are deeply grateful to Time Warner Cable, and its employees, for supporting our disaster relief efforts down the street, across the country and around the world.”
“We are deeply concerned about the health and well-being of our neighbors and customers who have faced hardship after their homes were damaged in the recent storms,” said Tom Adams, Regional Vice President Operations for Time Warner Cable Wisconsin. “It is fitting that our production and technology expertise will aid in ongoing relief efforts. Our employees are proud to pitch in when the community is in need.”
: Across the county, severe thunderstorms and tornadoes tore across the central and eastern states, with the State of Wisconsin among them. According to the National Weather Service, on April 10 at least fourteen tornadoes were confirmed, most of those in the heart of one of TWC Wisconsin’s northeastern service area. The storm caused millions of dollars in damage, destroying homes and businesses and toppling trees and power lines. Fortunately, everyone emerged safely from the storm.
Just days after the storm hit, Time Warner Cable Wisconsin kicked off a charitable text message campaign benefiting the American Red Cross in Northeastern Wisconsin. The 30-second Public Service Announcement (PSA) features Steven Hansen, Regional Chapter Executive for the American Red Cross – Northeast Wisconsin Region. The PSA invites viewers to text REDCROSS to 90999 to donate $10 for local relief efforts. The PSA will run throughout Time Warner Cable’s northeast Wisconsin service area on up to 40 cable channels. It started airing on April 25 and will continue through June 1.
To kick off this relief campaign, Time Warner Cable employees presented a $5,000 donation to the American Red Cross Northeast Wisconsin. Thanks to our employees from Kaukauna, Wisconsin for helping hand off this check!
