We’re Adding FOX Sports 1, FOX Sports 2, and FXX to Our Lineup

watching_sports

Great news if you’re a sports fan: we are going to carry FOX Sports 1 (FS1) when it launches on August 17th. You’ll also be able to see FS2 when it rebrands from Fuel the same day – FXX when it launches on September 2.

Here’s the rest, fresh from the press release:

Fox’s new national sports network, FOX Sports 1, will debut on Saturday, August 17th, with every major distributor on board, making this the biggest sports cable network launch in history, and one of the largest network launches ever. The announcement was made by Mike Hopkins, President, Distribution, Fox Networks.

At the outset, FOX Sports 1 boasts nearly 5,000 hours of live event, news and original programming annually. A robust schedule of live events forms the backbone of FOX Sports 1’s programming from Day 1, with college basketball, college football, NASCAR, soccer, boxing and UFC all on tap between launch and year’s end. In fact, the schedule on August 17th features live events morning, noon and night including a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race from Michigan and UFC FIGHT NIGHT: SHOGUN VS. SONNEN in prime time. In 2014, FOX Sport’s new rights agreement with MLB takes effect, bringing regular and postseason games to FOX Sports 1.

Viewers can learn where to find FOX Sports 1 on their system by visiting FOXSports1.com.

great. more channels that i will block. i block ALL FOX national channels. (not our local, since we do have films on WXXA, and mets games) but i will block them all so i dont have to see or hear their awful rightwing clatter. I’ve been asking for years when we are gettimg Investigation Discovery – and i see ads for it on our TV – but are we getting that? more sports channels i do not need or want. documentaries – yes. i am growing seriously disappointed with TWC.

I am a subscriber to TW in N.KY. I would like to know the chanel line up for nbc extra time. They will be carrying live premier league soccer, games that are not being shown on the usual nbc chanel. I have called customer service, to no avail. I am very frustrated, and seriously considering switching providers.

  3. stan's reply

We have Investigation Discovery on TWC Charlotte. I suppose it depends on your city.

Only Fox News is right wing cr@p. Fox Sports and Fox TV Network are anything but.

  4. Jack's reply

The link above does not work. TWC Untangled gives a “Page Not Found” message.

Thanks for Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports 2. I enjoy MMA and I like for the networks to spend more time covering mma events. I watch Fox News and I appreciate them covering the news in a fair and balance way. They allow both sides of the political parties to express their opinions.

I live in brawley ca area code 92227 I i used to hace fuel now I have Fox sports 2 the only bad thing is I don’t have fox sports 1 which means I don’t get to watch any live ufc? I feel we should have fox sports 1 not 2

  7. NaBUru38's reply

Right wing clatter on a sports channel? That’s not happening. People put sports channels to avoid politics.

  8. Mike Hunsinger's reply

You are doing it to me again. Fuel became Fox Sports 2 this morning. But now you want me to buy the Sports Package in order to view it. I object!!! Like you did with the fee for the cable modem, you just did this without notice. You have taken away a channel I was getting as part of my current package, and want me to pay extra for it. This seems to be typical of your style lately. Must be you want me to change cable providers.

  9. Bret Dahlgren's reply

Well done for getting Fox Sports 1 in time for launch, and indeed it is showing up for me. Something that also should have shown up today:

    http://nbcsportsgrouppressbox.com/2013/08/08/nbc-sports-group-announces-u-s-channel-assignments-for-first-3-weeks-of-premier-league-coverage/

Premier League Extra Time should be on my cable. I was very excited to see Jozy Altidore’s PL debut. But, apparently, there is no one to ask for it. Here in Columbus, OH, I called customer support and they had no knowledge of it, but they were willing to sell me phone service. How nice. Check out your own forums, they are blowing up with unhappy customers. http://forums.timewarnercable.com/t5/Channels-and-Programming/Premier-League-Extra-Time-Channel-line-up/td-p/4045/page/3

Find a place on your web site(s) where customers can find out when these channels will appear for them. That would be helpful. Or, pretty much, a knowledgeable response from Time Warner, because I couldn’t find anybody to help me.

Really, I’m not a big complainer, but this one is irking me.

    Thanks.

    -Bret Dahlgren

You should make FS1 & FS2 visible to all viewers who get HDTV cable from you, not just special package deal. It’s bad enough to lose a great motosports station then you block FS2 that has races on it….

  11. Osman Rasul's reply

Thank you so much time warner cable for adding Fox 1 Sports. I always wanted to watch sports but this kind of change makes me feel happy. And thank you so much again for doing this. I am waiting to see Fox Sports 1 very soon!

  12. SteveM's reply

Fox News and all the other Fox Channels are great, anything is better than that left wing c_ap on MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS (the whole Channel not just the news) and NBC. Too bad that left wing c_ap is allowed to air anywhere

  13. Victoria Pacifico's reply

I am 82 yrs. old. I don’t watch or care about sports. I am interested ONLY IN Showtime. Can You tell me when it will be returning to Time Warner Cable?

  14. Victoria Pacifico's reply

I am 82 yrs. old. I am not interested in, nor do I watch sports. I am only interested in Showtime. Can you tell me when it will be returning to Time Warner Cable?

  15. matthew's reply

barbara, discovery channel is only available to us rightwingers.

  16. Tony's reply

I would like to know when TWC will agree to the APP NBC live it requires TV Anywhere approval. NBC has said its Free to anyone that gets there NBCSN package and yet TWC is the only one that does not allow it? same issue with Showtime and TBS app?

Also they announced Premier League Live Extra time was going to be on TWC but yesterday in Los Angeles area it was no where to be found?

  17. Brian's reply

It would be great to see FS2, the FUEL, be moved to a regular tier so that people wouldn’t have to pay $8.99/mo. just to watch that particular channel. That’s like seeing ESPN2 being moved to that premium package.

  18. Jason Schwartz's reply

    To Bret Dahlgren:

You should be able to find the appropriate channel on the following web site:
    http://www.nbcsports.com/ExtraTime

As for the NBC Sports LiveExtra, we’re all out of luck. It doesn’t appear as if TWC cares enough to work with NBC Sports to bring this feature to their customers like almost every other cable system in America.

  19. Dave from Newark's reply

I totally agree with Brian about FS2. I dropped that tier a while back and don’t want to buy it just for FS2. I heard TWC is not paying that much for FS2. Also should have FS2 for free in HD. If Fox is trying to compete with ESPN they are not going to do it this way. But thanks for getting FS1; looks good.

  20. Daniel Taylor's reply

Where is Fox Sports “2″, I want more of what Speed Channel had with Auto Racing talk and if I wanted more of just plain sports talk I would watch ESPS 1 & 2, your are going to mess this all up and for what?
    Another sports talk show?

  21. Glenda Gonzalez's reply

Is there any time frame as to when we will be able to view all of our favorite shows? I know you are working hard to keep the cost down for the customers but during all of this we are missing some great shows on CBS and on Showtime. You were kind enough to give us another channel in place of CBS but the shows just are not up to what is on Showtime.

We have been with TWC since 1983 and I hate to think we will have to change to another service in order to watch our shows in the Fall.

Thank you for all that you are trying to do to resolve this. CBS should be ashamed.

    Sincerely,
    Glenda Gonzalez

  22. Rick's reply

I don’t watch: sports, reality TV, any other than English language channel, Christian channels, etc. 75% of the TV watching I do is CBS but CBS can ki** my a**. SyFy has ruined their channel, NatGeo also. History channel went to the dogs a long time ago and my favorite channel after CBS is Science channel but they are starting to show garbage like SyFy and History channel so I am sure they will be garbage soon. I think it is time to save money and drop cable TV al together. I watch up to 16 hours a day but I guess it is time to turn my TVs into video monitors only and watch dvds. So in conclusion CBS stick it up your …. and programming sucks along with the real stupid commercials you have to tolerate so I am trying to convince my wife to allow me to drop cable altogether. The intelligence in TV shows is gone; Huntley and Brinkley are dead and so is anything honest from the boob tube.

  23. Dean Platt's reply

Cannot find FS2. My zip code is 43204
Help? There is going to be a race soon!

  24. Mike's reply

How come SoCal doesnt have Premier League Extra Time?

With FSC and FSC+ I could watch two games at a time. now there’s only 1. this is bogus. give us Extra Time.

  25. mark mennen's reply

What do I need to do to get the packer game on in English? I don’t understand Spanish at all.

  26. Rocco Rizzo's reply

Yeah. Fox Sports 2 for a fee, and all I wanted to watch was the 24 hours at Daytona.
More fees, especially for services and/or channels that were free (like Speed TV and its replacement) will make more people leave.
Please don’t tell me that Velocity is a substitute, because Speed had the 24 hours at Daytona, Velocity does not
