Time Warner Cable is proud of its military veterans. From our Vet Net employee network to our comprehensive military leave policy for reservists and active duty, TWC celebrates the contributions these employees make to our country and our company. In fact, military veterans make up just over 8 percent of TWC’s workforce.
But sometimes the path to TWC requires perseverance and a strong will – as in the case of Ivory Alexander, a high-speed data repair agent in San Diego. After leaving the Navy, Ivory found himself homeless and living on the streets. That all changed a few years ago when he landed a job at TWC. Follow Ivory’s emotional and uplifting journey in the video below.
“We’re committed to providing veterans with a workplace where they are appreciated and can succeed,” says Paul Turevon, Vice President of Talent Acquisition and Movement for TWC. “Our company has implemented innovative ways to recruit veterans, like Ivory. For instance, TWC is part of the Mission Media Veterans Advisory Council to improve our industry’s effort to encourage vets, reservists and members of the National Guard to join cable’s ranks.”
Time Warner Cable has also launched new and updated web resources to serve the specific needs of veterans seeking employment with our company.
To Ivory and all of TWC’s employee veterans: Thank you for your service.
