FCC, DOJ Take Steps in Charter/TWC/Bright House Merger Approval

Today, FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler circulated a proposed order approving the Charter-Time Warner Cable-Bright House merger with conditions to the full Commission for consideration. Also today, the Department of Justice filed in court a consent decree that effectively completes its review of the transaction. In response, Chairman and CEO Rob Marcus commented, “We are pleased to reach this critical step in the regulatory review of our merger with Charter, and remain optimistic that the transaction will be finalized soon.”
