We’re rolling out an enhancement to our TWC TechTracker™ that allows customers to live track the location of their technician’s truck, prior to a service appointment. The feature, currently available to TWC customers in Southern California, is powered by Glympse, a company that specializes in real time and temporary location sharing. If you’re not in SoCal, by the end of this May, Glympse should be available in your market.
When you call TWC to schedule a service appointment, indicate that you want to receive notifications via text message or email. Through these latest enhancements to TechTracker, you’ll be sent a Glympse link, unique to your new TWC service appointment. On the day of your appointment, when your tech is on the way, this link will allow you to see their real-time location, route, estimated time of arrival, and the tech’s first name, photo, and identification number. Your unique web link expires once the tech arrives at your location.
According to John Keib, TWC’s EVP and Chief Operating Officer, Residential Services, “We continue to give our customers simple ways to easily manage service appointments on their own time and in their own way. Utilizing Glympse’s location sharing technology significantly enhances the in-home customer service experience and reinforces our commitment to on-time appointment arrivals. By providing real-time updates, it allows customers to conveniently plan for their appointments and eliminate any wonder about when the technician will arrive.”
